TASK Forklift Service Technician

We specialise in warehouse forklifts and walkie stackers and pride ourselves for our in-house design and engineering. For nearly 40-years TASK Forklifts has been offering forklift sales, rentals, and servicing for hundreds of companies’ nationwide. 

A new opportunity is available for an Essential Service Forklift Technician to join the TASK Forklifts branch in Dandenong, Victoria. Starting as a casual with a view to progress into either Full-Time role or contractor, we are looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual to help maintain and grow our ever-expanding customer service base in the Melbourne and Greater Melbourne area. 

 

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the National Service Manager, the Forklift Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing TASK forklifts and walkie stackers as well all other makes and models of forklifts. They will also need to perform assigned planned maintenance on customer forklifts, maintain their service van and inventory, process job cards after completion of each job and repair customer and hire units in the TASK workshop.

 


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Good mechanical and electrical abilities, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.

  • Ability to analyse and troubleshoot technical problems and recommend solutions for maintenance and/or repair requirements.

  • Technical degree, previous forklift repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment are preferred but not essential.

 

Skills:

  • Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate forklifts.

  • The ability to communicate effectively and clearly with customers and TASK Forklifts personnel.

  • An excellent understanding and commitment to safety and the environment.

  • Be energetic and self-motivated.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Display a high level of integrity, honesty, reliability, and confidentiality at all times.
