Forklift Training, Pallet Jacks Safety

At TASK FORKLIFTS we realise that safety is paramount.

A warehouse can be a dangerous place to work if the equipment used there is handled incorrectly or is not properly maintained. It can also hit your pocket if the condition of your machines affects your insurance premiums.

“One in three forklift-related injuries occurs when an operator gets on or off a forklift, often resulting in musculo-skeletal back injuries”  Worksafe Victoria 2006

With this statistic in mind, the safest option for most lifting situations are the wide range of Pedestrian Stackers, which not only ensure the operator's back and neck comfort but also provide reassurance to employers that they are providing their staff with safe operating equipment.

TASK FORKLIFTS sets the highest standards for safety and service and our Australian production & design represents more than 100 years of industry experience. The OSKO Technical Design team have had customer and operator safety at the forefront of their minds when creating the range of SUMI by OSKO Pedestrian Stackers. They have included more than 12 built-in safety features to ensure optimal safety and ergonomic comfort for the operator of any of our machines.

  • If a major fault is found the unit should be tagged as "Unsafe" and reported.
  • A daily checklist of the condition of the unit should be completed by the operator at the start of their shift and upon completion of any work with the machine.

Operator Training

  • Customers need to ensure that their operators are fully aware of the contents of the "Operators Handbook" and hold a current operator's licence if applicable.
  • Operators should also be aware of the maximum capacity of the unit and that de-ration occurs with increased load centre.
