A Proud History
In 1938 Eric Rainsford established a business manufacturing surgical equipment for the armed services.
The Rainsford manufacturing business developed rapidly, expanding production to include many household and everyday items such as mirrors, blinds, seat belts and child restraints. By the '70s, the Rainsford enterprise had expanded to include automotive components manufacturing facilities in Adelaide, Lisarow, Gosford and Melbourne.
Their great eye for quality, detail and strong business acumen built the Rainsford reputation for manufacturing excellence.
In 1981 the Rainsford family opened the OSKO FORKLIFTS factory and applied their manufacturing skills to the SUMI by OSKO range of electric stackers. Since that time the product has earned an enviable reputation through Australia and Asia and the family now hold numerous worldwide patents.
In the 21st century, the Rainsford family continue the tradition of manufacturing excellence with the design, manufacture and distribution of the OSKO pedestrian stackers and ride-on forklifts through TASK FORKLIFTS and it is extremely proud of the company’s status as Australia’s largest exporter of forklift & materials handling products.
